The Green Pledge

As Youth Go Green has been launching in different regions of the country, many youths have been joining and signing a pledge as our ambassadors in those regions. These youths have been able to monitor and also report the growth of tree planting in those regions and also encouraging the Go Green campaigns to continue.

School Yard Habitat

Youth Go Green started a “Youth Environmental Activists (YEA)” Program! It is a youth-driven network of University & high school environmental clubs in public & private Education Institutions. YEA program is based on the principle that educating, engaging, and empowering youth in their teens can lead to long-term civic engagement and critical leadership on climate change solutions. Under this campaign, we had a one week tree planting campaign in  Uganda Christians University (UCU), Makerere University Business School (MUBS)-Mbale campus, IUIU and all secondary schools in Mbale.

Sensitization, Trainings, Workshops

Youth Go Green has had sensitization training / workshops in Environmental conservation and HIV/AIDS for both youth leaders and university students. For example in National Teachers College – Kaliro, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) – Mbale, Uganda Christians University (UCU) and Mbale District Youth leaders under the Theme “Integrating HIV/AIDS into environmental conservation”
